Toma Gouband is a musician, improviser, inventor, researcher, composer. He plays music on an arranged drum using sounding stones and other raw objects that he gleans. Attracted by the study of numbers and proportions, he developed a way of thinking allowing him to understand polyrhythmic phenomena. His approach to composition is generative, it emanates from his research and aims to give everyone the opportunity to create their own path and express themselves through their language.

Toma has been exploring solo playing since 2008, mainly using sounding stones and branches, music deeply linked to the meeting of his polyrhythmic research and a playing context.
